About the Project: Debuted in 2018, for our club service project, staged a school wide "penny war". Each grade had a donation jar in the attendance office and for two weeks, grades competed to see who could reach the highest score. The rules are simple: pennies in your jar count as positive $0.01, silver coins and bills negate pennies at whatever they are worth. Place pennies in your grade's jar, and silver coins in bills in other grades' jars. The winning grade votes on a (willing) teacher or administrator to take a pie to the face, and the money raised is all donated to charity! In its initial year, the Penny Wars competition raised just over $860, with plans to raise even more in 2018-2019!
